Ui completed his PhD in Economics from Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL), where he also worked as a teaching fellow for undergraduate students, leading modules in Financial Economics, Microeconomics & Economic Philosophy. His PhD has an applied focus and combined topics in Development & Microeconomics, in particularly on worker and firm-level outcomes. His Masters dissertation studied the wage differential between White British and ethnic minority workers in the UK. He holds an MSc and BSc in Economics from RHUL.
